Small but fine group of players with Z slipping past Curtis, Malcolm beating Bob, Cem beats Walter, and Rudy took advantage of me. Then Malcolm eased past Z and Rudy got past Cem leaving Rudy and Malcolm to fight it out for the weekly championship -- Number 17 (Malcolm) won it all.
Consolation tournament was small with a field of only four. Cem and I played while Kelaine amd Walter played a marathon after which Walter and I split. A good time was had by all.

No tournament was held as there was not enough players due to a good group of fine players from Dallas at the Vegas tournament.

Fourteen fine folks played in last week's tournament where Di, Walter, Rich, Ernie, Malcolm, and Joe (that would be me) were all eliminated in the first round thanks to Cem, Roy, Bob Williams, Z, Bob Black, And Kelaine. Then our newest member, Leon booted Curtis out, Roy took care of Cem, Bob Williams and Bob Black eliminated Z and Kelaine respectively. This left Leon paired with Roy and the two Bobs against each other. Leon edged Roy out and Bob Black beat Bob Williams and Leon and Bob split this weeks tournament prize money. Congratulations to each and welcome to the league, Leon. Well done!
There was no consolation tournament.
The
23rd will be small, but we are going to have a tournament, so I'll see
those of you who elect to no go to the tournament in Las Vegas.

Our group was small last week because of the storm. I hope no one had significant damage at home. I spent the better part of Saturday cleaning up fallen trees and limbs in my Father-in-law's back yard.
Results
of the tournament are as follows: Bob and Curtis eliminated Cem and me
respectively while Roy, Rich, and Sherif beat Walter, Malcolm and
Diane. Curtis took care of Bob and then Sherif eliminated Curtis while
Rich eliminated Roy leaving Sherif and Rich to split the prize money. There was no consolation match.
Let's keep trying to recruit new members to spur interest in this great game.
